The word porn comes from the Bible, from the Greek word porneia (Greek transliteration). Porneia roughly means any sexual sin, sexual behavior prohibited by God. The word porneia has many meanings, such as adultery, fornication, and homosexuality for example. I choose not to live out my gay desires anymore because of God's Word - the Bible and since then God has also changed my sexuality. God is loving and gracious, even to those who are gay - LGBTQ. We must also not forget that God is also holy. We are created to love and worship Him - The Most High.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Love one another
This is Jesus' command to the disciples and to the Church today. Think about who Jesus was/is. "He was full of grace and truth," the Bible says. When we preach the word of God, it is so easy for us to become cold and harsh. We must not despise people just because they are different. Preach the word of God in a loving way. I myself have lived as a homosexual for most of my life. Not all gays live their lives the same way. Some live in long-term relationships but many live as singles with multiple sexual partners. Unfortunately, like many others, I have thought that love and sex are the same thing, but that is not true. I believe that many in the LGBT community, like me, have a longing for a deeper meaning with life, a longing for true love and friendship instead of casual sex and superficial party life. If you feel that you are not really fit in, in the church, then you seek happiness and fellowship somewhere else. In addition, one is easily seduced by the body's desires that lead one into a life of promiscuous sex. I lived such a lifestyle in the gay world for 20 years until God's words hit me when I one day read the Bible - with a watchful mind. Since then, I have found the deeper meaning of life in faith in Jesus and the relationship with God that I had when I was newly saved at the age of 15. Since 2014, I live in sexual abstinence and enjoy it. God is my company.
God wants our friendship, He loves us
